High Clearence Bumper & Sway Bar Recommendations

I didn't know that. It sucks to hear a company would act that way. I'm not too worried about modifying the frame since this rig is getting cut up in all kinds of ways. I could see it being an issue if I wanted to sell it down the road for sure though.

    Axle upgrade

That's very true. I definitely would not advise anyone to run 37s on a 30. Upgraded shafts and a max of 35s do pretty well in my experience. Like you said there's no fix for the pinion size either. I did in 2 ring gears on 33's back in the day. You definitely can't be silly with the throttle lol.

3.6 with Etorque or 3.0 ecodiesel or 392

That looks like a ton of fun at the track (y) I live in Colorado and the 3.6 does great in the mountains. The 8 speed transmission always finds a good gear no matter the grade. I'm not worried about MTN driving in the slightest with 5.38s and 42s. We shall see if I'm right in a few weeks...

Congrats on the new Jeep! What are your plans for it? Keeping it stockish or do you have some mods in mind?

    Show your ZJ' and WJ's!

Here's my old WJ. It has awesome suspension geometry with its long arms setup. It's rocking a double triangulated 4 link in the rear. ATX bead locks, 35" Stt pros, homemade bumpers, PSC hydro, HP D30 from an XJ with chromo shafts ARB locker, Currie 9" rear with Detroit. It's sitting at around...

    Axle upgrade

I ran a hp D30 on 35s with heavy bead locks, locked, and with hydro assist for years of hard wheeling. The 30 gets a bad rap for no reason imo.

I like the look and minimalist design. A good option for sure!

3.6 with Etorque or 3.0 ecodiesel or 392

I personally would not go forced induction on the 3.6 as reliability is my goal. I have heard they do not handle boost well. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on forced induction specifically on the 3.6 can chime in. My experience with boosting drift and track cars is that you open yourself up...

3.6 with Etorque or 3.0 ecodiesel or 392

It is smart of you to bring up the e-torque junk. That's the reason I bought used and a pre e-torque 3.6. No thanks! The 2.0 is definitely not my cup of tea either. My experience with modern diesels and their emissions systems has not bet favorable. That being said I have not owned the 3.0. PSC...

High Clearence Bumper & Sway Bar Recommendations

My factory steel front bumper is getting beat to hell. The sway bar disconnect skid is so mangled it started getting into my drag link. I am currently considering the Motobilit Tomahawk frame chop. Anyone have experience with this bumper and the install? I'm not thrilled to lose my...

3.6 with Etorque or 3.0 ecodiesel or 392

If you are willing to pony up obviously the 392! The 3.6 I drove with 40's and 5.38s had plenty of pep compared to the 4.0 I was used to at the time lol. I'll report back in a couple of weeks when my 3.6 is on 42's with 5.38s. I didn't go the diesel route because at the time I purchased, PSC...

Where did your Jeep take You this Week?

Black Bear and Imogene! Enjoying one last easy run on BB. It's going to be way more unnerving on the 72" wide 60/80 lol!

    Rock sliders for JL

Okay good to know. That's my only hesitation. I primarily wheel in Sand Hollow and Moab. I take pretty big hits coming off some ledges. I love the look if it can take the abuse.

    Rock sliders for JL

How tough is it? Can it hold up to a hit coming off a ledge or do you think the tub would ripple/buckle?
