So from what I could find... here is a 3/8 socket head cap screw (which apparently only come in 1 grade, alloy) vs a grade 8 5/16 bolt... the shear on both is about the same, while the tensile on the 3/8 is almost 2x that of the 5/16. So if the load is in the tensile direction the 3/8 design is...

Ribeye night... Picked up some prime ribeye from the local butcher. Put on a little dry rub and tossed them on the webber over some mesquite. The pup kept an eye on them... Served with a Cesar salad and 2xbaked potatoes. Sooo good!

We have one of these at work, and it's fine. It's Chinese but it works pretty well The high end Wilton and Yost vices are nice, but expect to pay about a grand. There are some nice old ones to be found on CL though.

Time to clean up the sliders. Been a year or 2, and they were starting to get rusty. Took the angle grinder with a wire wheel to them to knock off the rust etc. Then hand sanded down the pain so there would be a smooth transition... and coated with rust inhibitor. Has to sit for 24h, then...

Been thinking about getting an air ratchet for getting in tight spots, just wondering if anyone has experience with one of these? 180ft/lbs seeme like it would be great in those hard to reach spots. They are a little spendy but I hate buying crap tools that break. Ingersoll Rand (2015MAX)...

Finally washed it a.d detailed the interior. Weather was so nice had to wait for it to cool down a bit. Has not been washed in a long time.
