In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

This was another reminder today as to why aftermarket skids are a pain….a simple driveline swap added more time and frustration having to remove this puzzle piece of Metalcloak skids to gain access to the yoke. Of course in a shop on a lift isn’t as bad….out on the trail wouldn’t be as fun.

You're lucky that the owner of the Jeep never really wheels his Jeep or to the point where those skids are remotely needed. At least, I see that none of the flathead allen bolts are mashed up from grinding on rocks. Even with a lift in a shop, getting the those stupid bolts out is a super pain in the ass when they are especially when the skids are screaming hot!! Ask me how I know LOL

Funny, the first thing I said was "Well at least the bolts aren't destroyed". They also made me think about Clays Jeep and how much more of a pain it would have been to deal with something like this.
