Local car show today with the 41 and wagon, we found some late models to hang around.

Speaking of red lock tight, I was driving the 41 to the store today, and the damn T case shifters fell through the floor rattle around and shot out the back.
Luckily I was able to retrieve all the parts, the set screw loosened up and let the pin back out. It’s all back together with lock tight, it’s blue though. I need it to come apart in a couple weeks.

I’ve been ordering a collecting parts for the transmission rebuild, I’ve finally recieved all the parts. I’ve ordered 2nd gear twice and it’s still machined wrong, so I’m trying to find NOS supplier currently. It doesn’t fit the syncros.
I will say, what I thought I was going to spend for a transmission was wildly under budget,

Is this a gold nugget? It might as well be, I found a NOS 2nd gear back in my home town Jeep supplier, Nelson’s Jeeps.
He had two in stock, ones a F script (ford) but it looks used. So I’m going with the one wrapped in cosmoline.
Who wants to guess the costs in parts so far

As I was pondering why I decide to deal with this wiring mess, I was digging into the glove box and found a replacement end for the light switch, these have small button releases on them to stop troops for accidentally turning the lights on, as lock would have it. The previous owner must have found one and left it in the glove box

Lights all work and the switch. it’s hard to see the black outs as well. Brake light switch next.

I did a little more wiring today, Cleaned up what appears to be an original black out switch. The board is starting to seperate. But it’s back working.
I need to order a brake light switch and 12v alternator. Both are shot. I’m pretty confused on this wiring mess. Someone started swapping it to a 12v, but left the 6v voltage regulator in it. The 6v Jeep is wired with positive ground where this one is a mix.
For now it’s going to a 12v system, until I have a shop to rewire it all property and put it all back to 6v.
