If you do the math, you will find that you have already paid for the windshield many times over already. The insurance company is making a killing from me. It seems better to pay that money into a savings or investment account since it won't take long to save enough for a windshield.FYI: I called my State Farm ins agent to finally put a claim in for my big windshield chip. They offered to fix it for free but I told her that it’s the original glass and it’s really pitted and difficult to see through in certain conditions… getting a brand new OEM installed next week for free. She said it’s part of our comprehensive and that the deductible is $0. So those of you with State Farm should have the same options.
