Got a link to that?Dude, I have a GPW Laminate shield on my windshield and I swear I have taken several hits on it and hardly a pit.
But you should go with what you believe will do what you need it to do. Good luck Buddy!

I'll Google it when I get home.Sorry no, It came on my Gladdy when I bought it.
We also have $0 deductable, but when we did the math, it seems that we could have replaced quite a few windshields for what we pay the insurance company. It may not seem like much of a monthly payment, but it adds up!I'll Google it when I get home.
I've seen a few out there. And I won't be opposed to using something like that. But then a $0 deductible isn't bad cost either when it comes to window replacement.![]()

if you got the company name, date, time etc.. contact them to cover the windshield replacement. I've done this several times and if they are part of a bigger company, they've reimbursed me for the windshield replacement costSON OF A BITCH!! On our way back to Carson City yesterday, we got behind a couple of slow moving semi trucks and as I pulled up behind them, the guy in back started to get all kinds of pissy impatient and tried several times to pass the guy in front of him. After the 3rd attempt, the mother fuckin driver decided that he was going to straddle the shoulder in what looked like his way of telling the truck in front (who was pulling an empty flat bed) to speed up. Of course, when he did this, he started to kick all kinds of gravel and before I could back up far enough, one hit our relatively brand new windshield hard and cracked it

But hey, I know the guy was just doing his job so I got what I deserved
What sucks the most is that we have adaptive cruise control and that means this is a super expensive windshield to replace. I can only hope this crack doesn't grow or at least, long enough for me to get it fixed in place.![]()
Honestly, the thought never crossed my mind. I didn't even know that was something you could do.if you got the company name, date, time etc.. contact them to cover the windshield replacement. When they can't keep it between the lines because of the kind of bullshit they were doing, companies aren't too pleasedHonestly, the thought never crossed my mind. I didn't even know that was something you could do.
But I thought "all" truck drivers were perfect little angles and we should just be happy we can use their roadsWhen they can't keep it between the lines because of the kind of bullshit they were doing, companies aren't too pleased
A shop can repair that if done soon enough. Put clear packing tape over it if you're going that route. It keeps moisture out and makes the repair look way better.SON OF A BITCH!! So, I've never done the repair before and I got a quote from Safelite saying it'll cost $173.59. Does that sound right to you? If it weren't for the fact that I have adaptive cruise control, I could pretty much get a new standard windshield for that price.A shop can repair that if done soon enough. My insurance company, state farm, will fix those for free. Check with yours. So, I've never done the repair before and I got a quote from Safelite saying it'll cost $173.59. Probably. Probably $150 minimum to come out in todays day.So, I've never done the repair before and I got a quote from Safelite saying it'll cost $173.59. Does that sound right to you? I worked at a glass shop about 25 years ago. We charged 40.00 lol. I have no idea what the going rate is nowadays. That seems high, but everything has gone up in price. So, I've never done the repair before and I got a quote from Safelite saying it'll cost $173.59. Does that sound right to you? Looking around online, 60 seems to be cheapest. You may be able to get a kit and do it yourself. It's not tough. Drill a small hole, use a suction like tool to fill it in with resin, then a UV light cures the resin. That's how we did it.So, I've never done the repair before and I got a quote from Safelite saying it'll cost $173.59. Does that sound right to you? Kinda what I was hoping for but again, at $150, it's kind of a tough pill to swallow.I worked at a glass shop about 25 years ago. We charged 40.00 lol. I have no idea what the going rate is nowadays. That seems high, but everything has gone up in price.
Got any recommendations for a good kitI've used the repair kits with great success on that exact type of star crack. The key is doing it before it grows.

LOL not mine! Still on the OGAnd on a side note, I was one of the volunteers at the Jeep Bash front gate checking people in. And, the one thing I noticed as I was welcoming people in, about a third of all the Jeeps that came had cracks in their windshield![]()
