Been using the Walker Ranger slims now for a bit and they are comfortable. The mic for speaking and hearing your surroundings is great when they are on

I just got my set I had ordered at the drag races in June. They mold onsite and its what the drivers use in the nitro cars . Bluetooth speakers as well.
So far I really like them but I haven't been to the range with them yet. I bought them primarily to use on my zero turn as it's just stupid loud.
I continue to use a pair of over the ear muffs as well just because it knocks the dbs even more.
They were spendy @ $200 but I'm already half deaf and it was worth it for me.

Bonus being bluetooth I use them when wife is watching something on TV and I'm in other room listening to music. I'll likely use them during football season as well.

Other bonus since they're a precise fit is the comfort - I've had them in for 3+ hours a couple times & you don't even know they're in there.

Definitely not what I got. Mine came in the mail and you heat them up in water then push them into your ears (almost like a football mouthpiece). No bluetooth…just a wad of bubblegum.

These are what I ordered. They go to all the national events - too bad you guys lost Bandimere so can't get them there - but the guy at the booth that fitted me said they can have a local ear doc provide the molds if interested. They aren't cheap, but IMHO the $200 Airpods I paid for aren't even close to these for practicality and comfort.

Yea Bandimere says they are looking at other sites, a bit further south…who knows how long it would take to get a track as nice as the old site up and running though…
 
It's hard damn near impossible to find trustworthy advice on the internet these days... with that in mind, do y'all have any suggestions on a gun forum you trust?

I'm having trouble with my wife's 6.5 CM. It's a Remington (bull barrel) barreled action I dropped into an Oryx chassis recently. Also has a Masterpiece Arms brake (Wifey is little and does not like recoil... any recoil).

I can't get groups better than 5" at 100 yards, and there is zero consistency. Planning to retorque the pic rail & scope ring bolts to see if that helps. I'll do the same with the chassis too but after that, I'm at a complete loss other than maybe trying some other different types of ammo (tried 2 so far).

Wish I'd sighted this thing in with the original tupperware stock before swapping it out, just to make sure it'll shoot... and of course, the old stock went straight into the trash where it belonged. Lesson learned. I've heard that even a "bad" barrel will usually do better than 5" at 100 yards though.

Anyway... I'm definitely an amateur at all this. Just need some advice on the best way to step through the problem solving process.

Assuming that you are able to get good groups with other guns (problem is not related to you), try a few more types of ammo.

Make sure that the scope innards seem ok.

Pull the brake and shoot it. If it still doesn’t group call MDT and see what they say.

If you are getting 5-inch groups at 100 there is something messing with the harmonics of your barrel. That gun should be stacking rounds through the same hole at 100.
 
I had Sportsman Warehouse mount my scope and rings (never again). The rings seemed tight but my shots were erratic. Took me a box of ammo to figure out the scope was moving back and forth to a different spot with every shot. I pulled it apart and remounted everything myself to spec. Ever since then it’s been money.
