Whiskey of the Day

Speaking of Frey Ranch anyone getting their 10th anniversary whiskey? Was seeing the price is a little over $200 for the bottle. I'm thinking about it but interested in what you all think here.
I bet it tastes awesome but I’m going to pass; a bit too expensive for a bottle in my opinion.
I agree. I’d like to try it at a tasting before I’d commit to that price.
Cindy and I were tempted to go out and buy some but we both came to the conclusion that the big price tag seemed to be more for the fancy packaging than however good it might taste. We passed as well.

My dumb-ass got taught a lesson last year - I was at a bar over in East Pa with a certain troublemaker from New York City (I have a pic if needed) and he asked the bartender for a round and for her to pick. She brought it out and we both marveled how good it was. We asked what it was and it ended up being plain ol Jack Daniels. Lol, I know you can tell the difference between good & mediocre booze, but my Covid-addled taste buds sure didn't

And to be clear, I'm not knocking JD lol

Sounds good, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one hesitant on buying a bottle. With looks of it, it’s already sold out but I’m sure they will have other special bottles coming out for cheaper prices. Thanks everyone!

Whoa!! Hell of a good deal on E. H. Taylor at our local Costco! 😮 Bummer it’s limited to just one per membership and they literally made a big to do about it when checking out. They had to get a supervisor and write down my membership number and everything.

WTF. Good for you guys that can enjoy this
Pa is so retarded with their liquor laws. It's so annoying having to be satisfied with what the local offerings are.

damn, I'm probably late but will check our Costco
Good luck! I chatted with the booze buyer at our costco and it all depends on the surrounding market. We’ll likely never see this. We get Bulleit, Makers, a few odds and ends, and once in a great while something really good but when people around Redding think ol’No 7 is the shit, we get lots of ol’No 7. Haha. Hopefully you have a community with a civilized palette for good whiskys so your costco may have something good to offer. 🤞
