The electrical gremlins we had on our Jeep Gladiator are finally gone! In this video, you'll get to see and hear about all thing things I tried to get it fixed, what ultimately did the trick and all the things that didn't. Also, if you're a fan of Ripley, be sure to stick around for a short clip of her as well.

Now, if you missed our previous video, some of the problems we were seeing included things like the center stack buttons blinking on and off and not working, error codes popping up on the EVIC such as "Passenger Side Turn Signal" being disabled, "Blindspot Alert Unavailable Service Required" and "Auto Start Stop Disabled". Also, the Infotainment System was having issue as well with it being not functional or constantly rebooting and our climate controls would not work. When the Satellite Radio was on, it would cut in and out and we'd have no controls over volume but could hear the subwoofer making a pulsating popping sound. Of course, you can watch all of this by clicking on the following link.

awesome!

Good thing you didn't completely toss in the towel and leave it for the dealership to figure out. (y)

Does it seem like the JL/JT have more ground wires than the JK?

I did some math and taking Ripley's size, the size of the rooster tail on takeoff and distance covered, I'd say she's powered by a 392

LOL - too funny about Ripley! Literally made me laugh out loud.

Regarding the gremlins, yeah, could you imagine paying $5k+ and have them still not find the problem?? Sheesh!!
Woohoo! What a mess but glad you got it all figured out (y)
It really was a pain but I am really happy that the problem is finally fixed!

Good deal! Was confident you would find the culprit!

Good job! Glad it’s all fixed finally! It totally sucks having a problem that takes you to your wits end.

Pretty awesome that Jet Li is back!!

Actually, we sold Jet a while ago, this is JAWS. But otherwise, thank you. Really happy to have it working well again 😎
That's amazing you even found it up there. Glad to hear it's fixed.
You’re telling me. Being that the cross member was removed and all the wiring on it relocated, I don’t know if I would have known to look for anything like it there.

Walking away from it for a bit I'm sure helped. And going back to the last changes made was also good. Pretty sure both of those issues could have caused the issues you were having. I hate electrical problems. Glad you got it fixed.

Wow. Glad you got it! I figured it had to be a bad ground somewhere just from what it was doing. I guess it also shows that the dealer/ jeep is about worthless. So just wondering why did they kick you? Because of all the mods? Or did they even give you a reason?

Man I’m glad you got it sorted out 🤞🤞 it stays that way. Crazy how the smallest things can set electrical wild. Also, it’s looks like you have more spare parts than you should 😂😂.

LOL - Thanks and it really is a funny thing how when you keep on looking at the same thing, you just can't see past what you've been looking at that whole time. You step away for a while and it can really help to give you a new perspective.
Leave it to a rogue ground wire, in a spot you wouldn’t think to look, causing a poor connection and all the issues. 😤 glad you got it fixed!!
To be fair, I'm still not 100% sure if it was the relocated ground but it is very suspect and most likely the cause.

Jeep does a series of Q&As with a dealership, things like, "unplug the sway bar disconnect and run X test". And, the dealership would respond with, "there is no sway bar disconnect." Jeep will then say, "check the plug at the FAD" and the dealership would say, "there is no FAD". You get what I'm saying? At a certain point, Jeep heard this and decided they were not going to provide any further technical support for a vehicle that does not have any of their OE parts.
