There is always an elite class, no matter what system you live under. The question is will those elites pull up the ladder so nobody else can climb it or will they leave it down so others have the chance to climb it. Starting a new party is always a loser, taking control of an existing party is a pro move. Just ask the socialists who now control the democrat party. The democrats of today support all the things the socialists and communists championed in the past.
Do you remember when Ken Cuccinelli ran against Ralph Northam in VA? Many conservatives, especially 2A people didn’t think Ken was conservative enough so they voted ‘libertarian’. George Soros donated to the libertarian candidate and he siphoned off enough votes to put Northam over the top. How’d that work out for 2A? Perfect is often the enemy of good. A better plan was to pick a better republican during the primaries.

I actually thought Cuccinelli was a good candidate. The national (RINO) party hated him was the biggest challenge he faced I thought. VCDL was strongly in support at the time and was quite vocal.
I agree MAGA repubicans are the answer. We really do need to hold their feet to the fire I’m tired of feeling like Charlie Brown with Lucy holding the football to kick.
