Depending on which AEV kit, you may save by getting the kit that includes shocks.

I ran the AEV Dualsport on my JLU before the EVO LA/coil over, I liked it, shocks were great, did fine offroad (no issues with the drop brackets).

IMO, the EVO LA /CO is more suspension than I need for the amount of wheeling I do, but on the occasions I get to go fast across the desert it's fun; the AEV did well but not at the speeds I get to with the EVO LA/CO

Yukon has gotten especially bad in the JTs. Pinions grenading just going down the freeway.
