Yeah wouldn’t Mrs Grant (fourth grade English) have a conniption fit over that one?Wow, what sentence structure! The guy surely knows what he’s talking about.![]()
It is painful to read!Wow, what sentence structure! The guy surely knows what he’s talking about.![]()

LOL - glad to hear I'm not the only one and yes, the impact sockets can be difficult or impossible to use in some places.Sometimes a thinner wall socket is needed, and like you I have never had one fail.
Now I read on another forum that if you use any regular regular socket with an impact it will literally explode. I mean it has to be true since it’s on the internet.Okay, here's one that isn't a hater comment and the advice given is something that has merit but I gotta say, in all my years of turning wrenches, I have yet to experience a problem using regular sockets on an impact wrench.

Won't say that I'll never have a problem in the future though. Guess I've just been lucky so far.
hmmm. I'd like to see that. Now I read on another forum that if you use any regular regular socket with an impact it will literally explode. I mean it has to be true since it’s on the internet.
The more I thought about this I’ve broken several ratchets and one or two breaker bars, but never a socket. Now I read on another forum that if you use any regular regular socket with an impact it will literally explode. I mean it has to be true since it’s on the internet.
LOL - well duh! Everything said on the internet is trueNow I read on another forum that if you use any regular regular socket with an impact it will literally explode. I mean it has to be true since it’s on the internet.
Holding up better than my craftsman I’d bet.I should note, the colored sockets that you see in the video... they're from Harbor Great![]()
Now that I think about it, they’re over 20 years oldHolding up better than my craftsman I’d bet.
I’ve broken both regular and impact sockets and while one is designed for increased strength over the other obviously, it’s just true that sometimes a thinner walled socket is needed like others have mentioned.Okay, here's one that isn't a hater comment and the advice given is something that has merit but I gotta say, in all my years of turning wrenches, I have yet to experience a problem using regular sockets on an impact wrench.
