Backup camera issue.

Alright I don't get stumped that often but I need to know if I'm missing something. My backup camera has been intermittent for a minute. I couldmover the wiring harness where it comes out of the bed and runs into the tailgate and it would work for a bit. Typically a short somewhere in the wire I figured. Rather than just tearing it apart I figured I'd just replace it. Took the part number and ordered a new factory tailgate wiring harness from Mopar. Threw it on this evening and camera does not wk. Tailgate locks just fine but nada from the camera. Seeing as it's plug and play I thought this would be an easy fix. What am I missing?

did it work when you moved the harness near a connector?
I'd check the connector pins, one may be bent and or got pushed back into the connector

I thought of that and unplugged the to check and they all looked good. Even pulled the positive cable off the battery thinking maybe it just needed to reset itself. No luck there.

Check the wires of the new harness for continuity. Never assume the new part cannot be the problem. If the new harness is good, it's either the camera or between the screen or battery and the new harness.

I've reduced it down 2 2 possible things seeing as I have power at the rear camera with the new harness. Several posts online with regards to the uconnect software upgrade to fix the issue ( sounds like you have to go to the dealership ) or the camera itself is on the blink. Any other thoughts on this or has anyone else had this issue?
