I have to go up with my dryer vent. I’ll blow it out a few times a year. And I’ll have one of those magnet ducts that latch and unlatch...

That’s just one option I’ve seen, there are lots of others. The one I saw had plenty of ducting to pull the dryer out. That’s how I saw it.

Oh, thats a big box... Don't like how it goes up though... Lint Fire hazard... Also limits how far you can pull the dryer out to service...

100%... we always install a long narrow light on the wall above the header facing in so you never see it... then usually use a motion...

Have you tried one of those? I always wanted to try it... but it seems no matter what you always will have at least 4" of space back...
