Stripped down the rear carrier to get it ready for 4.88 gears. The bearing puller kit made removing the bearings a breeze!

The rear axle housing is bent and twisted and I think that's why the gears were damaged. I don't what obstacle I was on when it happened...

I would take Jeepfans advice on this. Replace the CPS again but make sure it is a mopar one.
