Yet! When it doesn’t accomplish what they want they will just take the next logical step. While I don’t agree with such a law, at least it isn’t shackling an owner into a sale at below market.
And that would be a taking in violation of the 5th Amendment to the Constitution, especially if the property was given to a NGO. Eminent domain law is pretty well-established and NYC is already pushing close to the edge.Yet! When it doesn’t accomplish what they want they will just take the next logical step.
And when all the properties are bought up by the big companies it leaves nothing for the regular Joe to buy.Maybe I’m missing something, but COPA doesn’t force a property seller to sell for less than market value. The nonprofit gets a right of first refusal but it has to beat all other offers. So, the seller isn’t getting screwed out of money.

In prison, Timmy would figure out real quick what a woman isn't.Sure would be nice if the people who made it possible for this shit to go on and for so long were to be held accountable

I doubt many regular Joe’s can afford to buy something in NYC. Ironically, your question is actually why the liberals think a law like this is a good idea. It is supposed to give non profit organizations the ability to buy properties and then sell them to regular Joe’s at below market value. And when all the properties are bought up by the big companies it leaves nothing for the regular Joe to buy.
Right.....non profit organizations the ability to buy properties and then sell them to regular Joe’s at below market value.

She's being semi-shrewd. Just took a 700 mile trip to and through rural Texas, and not one single Trump sign was anywhere. Been making that trip for years, and used to be Trump signs everywhere, flags on redneck trucks, etc. All gone. Just a guess, but the base may feel betrayed by the whole "economy is great" and also "don't hurt my rich friends" by releasing the Ep files. All the pro-Trump Facebook posts have disappeared from my feed, too, and I have a lot of friends and family who were big supporters.LOL - I literally have lost any respect I may have had for this former super fan of the orange man bad. She is so much like all the loser fanboys who get butthurt here and then go onto other forums to whine about me and or this forum. What a loser.

LOL - umm, just going out on a limb here but... maybe the reason why you're not seeing any more signs or getting feeds on your phone is because the orange man bad won the election and won't be running again. I mean, it's like after Christmas, you take down your decorations and stop hearing Mariah Carry being played on the radio. But hey, that's just me.She's being semi-shrewd.
