In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

Close enough? lol.

Is the threaded hole for attaching the stabilizer to the clamp a thru hole? Did they use a longer bolt and drive it all the way down to the tie rod like a set screw?

Only ghetto-rig I could think of for this..
Most all clamps have the set screw that goes all the way through however, they used two different halves of clamps as the lower portion is actually a double sheer. It’s also the wrong size clamp for the tie rod which is why is lifted up by the through bolt.

This stuff makes me mad as she payed for this install. This is just one of many issues we saw on the surface.

BUT BUT BUT... everyone on social whoring swears this is the best shit since sliced bread 🤪
I ran it for a while to try it out and know a lot of people out there are and I’m sure it’s been fine for most. But this certainly shows one of the downsides to aluminum. Will also add we have seen this to the point of stress cracks on the outside at the joint along with full breaks. Big reason I chose to go with a chromoly steering this go around especially pushing 40’s. At least I can weld mine if it breaks 👍🏼

But but but, chromoly is no better than OEM. At least, that's what I've been told on the internet 🤪
